What brought you into trading?
To me trading is one of the most challenging professions in the world. I love challenges and on top of that, the possibility to do it the way you see best fit regardless of your background and the virtually unlimited profit potential makes trading my dream profession.
What do you like most about Convergent?
The fact that Convergent teaches you how to trade like a professional by building your own system instead of simply passing tips and setups. Only like that I can truly become an independent trader instead of relying on someone else.
How have these aspects helped you grow as a trader?
In the past, I focused too much on chart patterns and setups. I now realize that is but a small portion in a much larger machine called ‘Trading’. The fact that you must prepare as much as any other professional in a highly competitive environment was an eye opener.
Do you have a favorite community quote or webinar?
It was definitely the webinar on how to create a trading and business plan. This is your own business and you should treat it as any other business. I remember FT saying for any business idea you should have a full business plan in place and trading is no different, otherwise why should anyone take you seriously.
Do you have any advice for new members?
Absolutely. To focus on building a process rather than start trading asap. The process does not have to be perfect right off the start, but something simply that you can go about improving every week and making small changes. Eventually you realize that you’ve gone a long way and now have something you can rely upon.
What is your favorite non-trading activity/hobby?
I love fitness and it is another passion of mine besides financial markets. I enjoy lifting weights and other physical activities.
Have you participated in the #TradeRight program/challenges? What discoveries have you made?
Yes, and I highly recommend everyone to go through both. The fact that reviewing your work is as important if not more important than the actual trading itself. Only by reflecting on your actions you can actually improve, stop doing things that aren’t working and keep building upon the ones that are working.
