What brought you into trading?
I started trading during the 2008 subprime mortgage crisis. I saw some amazing blue chip stocks that were trading for 50 to 80% off their all time highs. I opened my first brokerage account and made 300% on my first trade, I was hooked for there on.
I’ve joined many trading groups and communities in the past but none of them compare to the level of support and help that I’ve received since joining Convergent.
What do you like most about Convergent?
There are so many things I like about to community but if I was to list just one, it would be the trader interventions because they touch on various issues that most traders deal with. FT71 does a great job at asking key questions to drive the conversation in a way that all members are able to benefit and leave the intervention webinars with one or two key nuggets.
How have these aspects helped you grow as a trader?
The trader intervention webinars are important because they allow you to get an inside view of the various topics that most traders are dealing with. These webinars are vital to any traders no matter where they are in their journey.
Watching these webinars allows me to create strategic and tactical plans for my growth towards becoming a better trader by reviewing the most common issues that most traders are having and strategically tweaking my process to minimizing the likelihood of me having those same roadblocks.
Do you have a favorite community quote or webinar?
My favorite community webinar is Accountability Through a Trading Partner.
Before joining Convergent, I was naive in thinking I could do this by myself. I’ve seen firsthand the role of accountability and its importance in my development. I’m thankful that this community continues to offer additional features in my development as a trader.
Do you have any advice for new members?
Have a plan, stick to the plan, be patient, rinse and repeat.
What is your favorite non-trading activity/hobby?
While I’m not trading I love to enjoy the outdoors.
Have you participated in the #TradeRight program/challenges? What discoveries have you made?
Yes, I’ve completed the #TradeRight program multiple times.
The main discovery I’ve made is that I tend to follow my rules better knowing that I have an accountability partner that is looking over my shoulder to ensure I’m doing the right thing.
